House Arrest

Hello

Hope everybody is having a better time than we are. We feel like we are under house arrest.

We did leave the room after dinner to walk a little bit behind the hotel where there are guards and no traffic, I think it is a gated community for dignitaries. We have two more days and then we are leaving to go to Guangzhou. Not only do I have a three year old on my hands but after yesterday a have a sassy pissed off three year old on my hands. There isn't anything exciting happening except we went to walmart, much larger than ours. They carry different things. I will try to download pictures but the computer is acting up a bit. Talk to you all later.

Today started out well. Went and may all things final so Kyleigh is Kellie legal no now. We walked to the local park that was great they have a really nice park here just a little down the road from the hotel. But the trouble started when we were going to dinner and walked out the front door of the hotel, and kyleigh started running the other way come to find out the foster mom was calling her and started all kinds of thing turned into braking kyleigh's heart again. Had to call the guide and she called the director and the were all out in front of the hotel because she would not leave so they finally got her to leave and we hope she stays away or we will be hostage in here until we fly out in four days and that's a long time. So its been a rough day he what a set back. Mom we are going to call home sometime in the evening your time like 7 or so be there

We have made it to Nanning. Things are going as planned. Kellie and I are Tired tonight and have a long day tomorrow so not writing much on here tonight but I will tell everyone that I plan to taking lots of pictures tomorrow, before , during and after getting the baby.

Happy New Year

Hi All,

Today was a very full day. We went to the Tian An Men Square and The forbidden city. Both places are huge, and our guide was like the energizer bunny. He pretty much ran the whole way. Then we went to lunch and toured a closina(I don't know how to spell it) factory. then we got back on the bus and went to the great wall. It should be illegal to do all those things on one day. Tomorrow is a travel day so we have to get up at 3 to make it to the airport on time. We have a little boy in our group about 5 or 6 he was mauled by the Chinese girl at the square. he ended up wrapping himself around his dad's leg trying to hide from everybody trying to take his picture.

A lady in our group had to go to the bathroom while we were at the forbidden city and when we went in the bathroom she got this look on her face, like she was scared to death or she was going to throw up and she ran out of the bathroom. I guess she got a nose full of something nasty and had to get out of there, we just looked at each other and though that the squatty was what scared her. It was a fairly clean bathroom even by American standards.

I will not write much but just put some more pictures on here for you. Then I need to go and watch the nightly fireworks show. Bye for now

Well hello everyone. This is the second time that I am trying to get this entry to blogger. We spent the day with a friend living here and shopping. She took us to all of the places with the best prices. We went to the silk market and to the pearl market. Sue taught us how to barter and when all else fails just walking away usually works the best. I had a lady chase me down and try to sell me something I was looking at. If you aren't interest in buying something don't even look at it. We went an authentic Chinese restaurant tonight. We were stared us a bit. Michelle got to be the first to have to use the squatty potty. We are having a good time being here during the new year celebration. There is fireworks for 15 days straight. And when I say fireworks I mean they are shooting them off absolutely everywhere. Take the best fourth of July and x 200 and you might get close. We also witnesses a dragon dance at the mall today which was cool. These are the pictures form that. We tried to video some of it but we are having trouble figuring out how to upload it. See Melba and Dee you could be here having this much fun. Well we have an early day tomorrow and have to go. Mom we will try Skype when we get to Nanning.

Feet on land finally

To all we have made it here... We have a real bad case of jet lag, jet drag and jet gage but we did make it. We will update more later but for now we need to sleep.
